The Story Behind Our Name
A WWII Bomber Squadron Namesake
Black Seahorse was the nickname of my grandfather’s bomber squadron, VMB-611, during World War II. He served as a radio man and waist gunner on a B-25 Mitchell, was shot down behind enemy lines in the Philippines, and spent twenty-five days missing before making it back. I chose the name Black Seahorse to honor him and the men he served alongside.
From Sweet Dreams Paint Shop to Black Seahorse
This business started as Sweet Dreams Paint Shop, built around my custom-painting work. When I added mobile detailing to what I offered, I rebranded to Black Seahorse Kustoms to reflect the full range of what I do now.

15 Years of Airbrushing and Custom Painting
I have been airbrushing and custom painting for around fifteen years. One of the builds I am proudest of is a motorcycle I painted for my father in my grandfather's honor, unveiled at the World of Wheels show in Omaha. Everything on that bike was painted by hand, not wrapped.
A Solo Operation Built on Craftsmanship
I run Black Seahorse Kustoms on my own, with no crew and no franchise playbook. That means every detailing job, every coating, and every pinstripe gets my direct attention from start to finish.
No Overselling, No Shortcuts, No Gimmicks
I explain what a vehicle actually needs before I recommend anything, and I would rather tell you a service can wait than talk you into it.
Protecting One of Your Biggest Investments
Whether it is a daily driver or a classic that took years to build, I treat every vehicle like it matters to the person who owns it, because it does.
